Grades 6 to 8
St. Thomas More provides an opportunity for Middle School students to grow in faith by developing a meaningful relationship with Jesus, a better understanding of our Catholic tradition, and help to plant roots for the adult years.
Classes are Sundays, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Middle School Home Study
Are you having difficulties scheduling Faith Formation classes? We offer a Home Study option for grades K-1 and 3-8. Please note that 8th gr Home Study does not fulfill the requirement for the first year of Confirmation prep. This is a great opportunity to work with your children at home and teach them about their Catholic faith. Please select the Home Study Registration button on the Faith Formation Registration page to register for this option. Once registered, please contact Andrea to make arrangements to pick up materials.
Older Student Sacrament Preparation (OSSP)
If your child is in 6th grade through 8th grade and has not received their sacraments (Baptism, Reconciliation, or Eucharist) please call Andrea Cochran at 512-258-1944 x228 or email andrea@stmaustin.org to discuss all details going forward. The students should be registered in regular Middle School classes.

Beatitude-Attitude Day Camp
Join us for a summer day-camp that not only teaches middle school students about community service, but includes serving opportunities each day.
What: Beatitude-Attitude Day Camp
When: July 24-28, 2023; 8:30am-4:00pm
Where: STM Life House and various locations in the Austin area.
Cost: $200
The campers will begin each day with Mass, followed by an educational presentation on a particular Catholic Social Teaching. The afternoon will include a community service opportunity that goes along with the morning's presentation. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and the fee includes a t-shirt.

Schlitterbahn Trip
Looking to cool off in July? Join us as we travel to Schlitterbahn Water Park for the hottest, coolest time in Texas!
What: MS Schlitterbahn Trip
Where: New Braunfels, TX
When: July 12, 2023, 8:45am-10:00pm
We will meet at the Life House at 8:45AM, board the buses at 9:00am. We will return to STM at 10:00PM.
What to bring: sunscreen, towel, change of clothes, sack lunch and dinner. You can bring a small cooler and/or money for food. We will have snacks, water and an adult at our meeting table all day. We must buy tickets early, so the deadline to register is JUNE 27! Friends welcome!
