Middle School Religious Education

Middle School Religious Education

Grades 6 to 8

St. Thomas More provides an opportunity for Middle School students to grow in faith by developing a meaningful relationship with Jesus, a better understanding of our Catholic tradition and help to plant roots for the adult years. We use the Edge program, which includes instruction, fellowship, prayer, service, and fun.

Middle School classes are held on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm during the school year. See the table below for specific class dates. Other activities/dates/times are listed in the newsletter which can be found in the Documents to Download section below.

Home Study

Are you having RE scheduling problems? We offer a Home Study program for grades 6-8. This would be a great way to spend quality time with your child while teaching them Religious Education. Pick up materials Tuesday, October 2 or Thursday, October 4, 7:00 pm, in Brennan Auditorium. The fee for materials is $20/child.

Summer Activities

There are lots of activities scheduled during the summer months. We will have a Bible Study, service projects, a trip to Schlitterbahn, Bunco and more! Beat the heat and join us for whatever you can. Bring a friend! For details, and to see what all is scheduled, please refer to the MS Summer Newsletter in the Documents to Download section below.

For more information on any of our programs please contact our Middle School Coordinator, Andrea Cochran, 512-258-1944 x-228, or andrea@stmaustin.org.
