Middle School Religious Education
Grades 6 to 8
St. Thomas More provides an opportunity for Middle School students to grow in faith by developing a meaningful relationship with Jesus, a better understanding of our Catholic tradition and help to plant roots for the adult years. We use the Edge program, which includes instruction, fellowship, prayer, service, and fun.
Middle School classes are held on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm during the school year.
There are lots of activities scheduled for the summer months. Middle-schoolers are encouraged to join in for Bible Study, social events, service events when they are available. There is even a trip to Schlitterbahn! Friends are welcome, too! Our Middle School newsletter and calendar for the summer, including the Schlitterbahn permission form, is available below in the Documents to Download section below.
Are you having RE scheduling problems? We offer a Home Study program for grades 6-8. This would be a great way to spend quality time with your child while teaching them Religious Education. The fee for materials is $20/child. Inquire at RE Registration or contact the RE office.
Older Student Sacrament Preparation Program (OSSP)
Does your child over the age of 7 need to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation or Eucharist? This program is designed for any student in grades 3-8 who has not received these sacraments. Children need to be registered in Religious Ed classes. Please contact Cynthia Jordan for more information (512-258-1944).
For more information on any of our programs please contact our Middle School Coordinator, Andrea Cochran, 512-258-1944 x-226.
