Ms. Blanca
I grew up in Missouri but moved to Texas right after high school. As they say, “I’m not from here, but I got here as fast as I could!” I’ve been a parishioner at St. Thomas More since then, so my family and I have seen this parish flourish over many years. My own children attended our fabulous preschool, so this is another reason why this faith community holds a special place in my heart. I feel blessed to be able to teach at the preschool now and give back for all of the care and love my own children received during their preschool years.
I hope to provide an environment where my students come to have fun, where they feel safe and loved, where they learn to make friendships and we help spark their love for learning! I still remember too well how it felt to leave my own babies in someone else’s care, so I believe open communication with parents is essential for each student’s success. Both Ms. Allyson and I treasure your trust in us to be a part of your “village”!

My family and I have been parishioners here at STM since we moved to Austin in 2015. Prior to that, I have lived in California, Hawai’i, and Washington D.C. When I started college I wanted to be a Marine Biologist but God obviously had different plans for me. I have always felt called to help people and that translated to my jobs as a corporate trainer, a childbirth educator and now as a kumu hula and preschool teacher! I love our preschool family and enjoy getting to see the kids’ smiling faces each day. I can easily argue that I have the best job in the school because I get to play fun games with the kids all day. From the babies finding their core balance to the 4’s working on crossing midline activities, I love getting to see them all develop skills that will later translate to sports and the classroom. When I’m not teaching at STMPS you can find me teaching Hawaiian culture and hula at my 2 Halau (schools) in Austin and Washington D.C.
