My husband and I have been parishioners at St.Thomas More for 15 years. I was involved with various committees before becoming involved with the preschool when my oldest son began attending the baby class. I served as a volunteer, Booster Club president and substitute teacher for several years before beginning my career as a teacher with the 2 1/2's and 3's classes. I am currently in my fourth year of teaching. I love seeing the world through preschooler eyes and partaking in the simple fun everyday pleasures of childhood. It's an honor to be the first teacher many of these children have. I am a proud Aggie with a degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University. I love being able to use my design degree to engage the children in educational art projects. My husband and I have four children. All of our children attended and graduated from our preschool. Our older 3 children attend Holy Family Catholic School. Pierce is in the 8th grade, Daphne is in 6th grade, Catherine is in the 2nd grade and our youngest George is in the 4's program at our preschool.
Ms Linda has been teaching at STMPS since 2018 and is currently teaching in the 3 year old classes. Prior to that, she was a special education teacher in Texas public schools for 30 years. She also was a volunteer religious education teacher for 10 years at STM when her own children were young. She believes that teaching the young child should include faith, family and putting fun in the fundamentals of early childhood development. Her greatest joy is seeing a child's face light up with excitement when they learn new skills and emphatically say "LOOK WHAT I DID!". When Ms Linda is not at school, she enjoys time spent with her 2 sons and husband in outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, hiking and usually more fishing. Thanks for reading and have a blessed day!
I am going on my second year as an Teacher’s Assistant at St. Thomas More. Working in the 3 year class, it brings me joy to see the progress they make over the year. Prior to moving to St. Thomas More, I have worked in the preschool environment for 14 years. I think it just gets in your system!!
I have a BBA from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). After college, I began my next chapter in the hospitality industry. I eventually met my lovely husband. Thanks for sharing your children with us!
My name is Doretta Giammaria and this is my fifth year at STMPS as a Teacher Assistant. I worked with the 2 1/2 years old, then the 4s, and this year I am with the 3 years old. I have a university degree in Modern Foreign Languages and I speak 4 languages. I have been a tutor as well as a translator/interpreter.
I am married and have two children in middle and elementary school.
I love to teach and to encourage a love of learning in young minds.
I am Pat Watts and I have been at St. Thomas More Preschool for a total of 11 years. I worked as a substitute for a couple of years. I have since worked in the 18 month old group, 3's and 4's. I am currently working in the 3's and am enjoying it so much. I feel each child is a unique little
package with so much to contribute.
My husband, John, and I have three children and four grandchildren. I
have a great love for children and love to see their interactions, growth and
creativity. I love working at the Preschool. All of the teachers have a special
bond with each other and the children that we serve.
I have been working for St. Thomas More for 6 years between Administration and the Childcare Center. Before joining the preschool, my husband and I were foster parents leading to the adoption of our two beautiful daughters. Every day is an adventure filled with joy, learning, and laughter. I feel blessed to join the Preschool in the 3’s and 18-month classes and honored to be a part of your children’s journey!
