The Knights of Columbus is a Fraternal Organization for Catholic men at least 18 years old. It was founded in 1882 to provide insurance for the widows of its members. Since then, the organization has grown to over 1.5 million men who donate over $130 million and 6 million hours to charitable and church causes. The 130 members at STM meet twice a month. One meeting is for business and the other is for families. The KC's support STM at the annual FunFest and the parish picnic, and host a Halloween party annually for the kids of the parish. The KC's also provide Lenten suppers and spend many more hours working around the church, stringing Christmas lights, doing yard work, etc. Projects have included conducting food drives for the Hill Country Community Ministries, financially supporting local seminarians, and contributing to the Bishop's charities.
