Holy Family Catholic School is the result of years of praying and hard work in behalf of families in seven Catholic parishes that do not have a parish school:

• St. Thomas More
• St. Albert the Great
• St. John Vianney
• St. Margaret Mary
• St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake
• St. Vincent de Paul
• St. William's

Individuals from these parishes formed a non-profit corporation, which sponsors and governs the school. Therefore, Holy Family is an independent incorporated school, fully under the auspices of the Diocese of Austin and participating in the Texas Catholic Conference Accreditation Commission, which is recognized by the State of Texas.

Founded in 2000, the school opened with the 2001–2002 school year at 9400 Neenah Avenue in the Davis Springs subdivision. Parishioners receive some privileges.
